Constructive conflict resolution includes three key steps: (1) de-escaping the problem; (2) the elimination of the situation; and (3) direct the conversation.

first Step Two: Uncertainty of the Problem

To impersonate the problem, one needs to recognize that the people concerned have very different communication and trust strategies and needs

. ] We must really look at the person concerned.

Firstly, our "conflict" is simply a misunderstanding we have created because we personally take someone else's behavior.

Secondly, if there is a prediction of a conflict management strategy, it may be useful to the individual.

Third, when the conversation is directed, we become more effective when communicating the most interesting thing in the other person's way

2. Step 6: Unlocking the Situation

In order to eliminate the situation, we need to be able to keep ourselves and the other person calm and rational. It is very difficult to make a constructive, problem-solving conversation if neither party is able to be objective on the matter.

First, we must recognize when we and / or the other person operates on an irrational level. In such cases, the words will not be effective. It is important to pause, step back and wait until both of us can move to a more rational level.

Secondly, it is important to accept the fact that we and we only control emotional response in any situation. If we behave in a conflict situation, we are uncomfortable to identify and possibly exchange personal convictions that have "chosen" this behavior.

Third, awareness of our own defensive reactions can help us become more sensitive to words and behaviors by others. Hopefully, we will say a message that is less likely to cause a defensive reaction in the other person.

3rd Step One: Control the Conversation

Helping the conversation guide the matter through a mutual problem to be solved, not a win / lose situation

The first two steps in our constructive conflict resolution strategy enable us to implement the first key principles of co-operation , or win / win negotiations people about the problem.

In this third step we can initiate a conversation that focuses on the two remaining bases of cooperation: to interest, not a position, and

to resolve the conflict constructively, solve the problem, resolve the situation and guide the conversation in a problem-solving direction through win / win negotiation techniques. 19459 002]
